Hello,

My name is Kim and I work in the hospitality industry in Birmingham, Alabama. I have lived in the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa area my whole life and have worked at various hotels and restaurants chains.

I started this website to give individual travelers, families, and groups some ideas on how to have a great stay in Birmingham. Because I live here I can evaluate the area's hotels using criteria that other sites cannot match.

Many of Birmingham's tourist sites advertise themselves as "Fun for the Whole Family" but obviously some places that younger children would love might be boring for teenagers and vice versa. Being fairly young myself I think I can help by giving an honest assessment so you can design a trip that will please the whole family even if each attraction cannot.

Please use my site as a resource and if you find it useful then book your hotel, rental car, or flight here so I can get the commissions to keep this site up. Because I work in the industry and have a potential conflict of interest I cannot answer individual questions due to the possibility that I may steer you to competing hotels. Obviously I owe my employer my first loyalty and I really need to keep my day job!

This site also has information for Birmingham's business and convention travelers such as which hotels have airport shuttles and which rental car agencies have on-site returns at the airport, etc.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your stay!

-Kim
